Toropapa refers to a design originally created through carving, which represents the layered and interconnected nature of Whakapapa.
When this design is adapted and applied in various contexts beyond its original carved form, it becomes a symbol of Whakapapa. Whakapapa is never a straightforward concept, but rather a tapestry of connections that shape our identities and link us to our tipuna (ancestors).
